2021 is the International Year of Caves and Karst and the several countries that have Cave Animal of the Year programs are focussing on cave beetles as their 2021 cave animal. Have a look at their websites and see what cavers and speleologists are doing to try and promote the interesting but generally little-known world of cave beetles.

Bookmarks and stickers are readily available. The spiders are 'raised' on the bookmarks and you won't be able to resist patting your own 'pet' Tasmanian cave spider.
We have posters and can supply these if you can display in a public site. Outdoor shops, libraries, school science labs, Scout and Guide halls and the like would all make great display areas.
Cave Animal of the Year was launched on Thursday 3 January 2019 at the 31st conference of the Australian Speleological Federation. The conference is being attended by about 120 speleologists and cavers from around Australia, plus a few who are travelling from overseas to join us. The conference will be in Devonport, Tasmania from 30 December 2018.
